Our Body Wash Bar is packed with certified organic oils, butters, and honey and is crafted into a soap bar with lye (nothing remains after the saponification process).
An extra long curing period makes this bar super gentle and long lasting with a great lather.
Packaged in recycled cardboard for a waste-free alternative to plastic bottles.
The scent is a refreshing minty, lemony, herbaceous scent. Essential oils used: lavender, bergamot, sage, Kanuka, litsea cubeba, peppermint
Directions: Rub the bar directly onto your wet skin to create lather and wash. You can also create a creamy lather with some water in your hands and then apply that to wash your body. Rinse off thoroughly.
The creamy, rich lather is also great for shaving.
Store on a soap dish and let dry between uses.
Please note: Hard water or chlorine in the water can influence the lather creation, which is crucial for a good wash. In this case an inexpensive water filter can be installed and will improve your water quality and overall health.
How to store the bars to last a long time
For the shampoo bars and body wash bar to last a long time it is crucial that they are stored on a free-draining soap dish. Stored in a puddle of water, they will go very soft and disintegrate a lot faster. They can be stored on a soap rack in the shower away from the stream. Cheap and easy to install solutions are available at Mitre10 or Bunnings.
If you find the bar to be soft when you use it, dry it thoroughly after your wash before you use it again. This can be done outside in summer on a sunny day or next to a heater in winter.
If a number of people use the same bar try cutting it in half and circulate the bars to give them enough time to dry thoroughly in order to last a long time.
Even though the body wash bar won’t spoil, we recommend using the bar within 12 months of purchase. The natural essential oils evaporate over time and some colours may fade.
