The scent is a refreshing herbaceous, citrusy scent.

Shampoo bar (8cm x 6cm x 2cm) in recycled, biodegradable cardboard box. Gentle for you and the environment.

Our Shampoo Bars are packed with certified organic oils, butters, and herbal infusions and are crafted into a soap bar with lye (nothing remains after the saponification process).
An extra long curing period makes these bars super gentle and long lasting with a great lather.
Packaged in recycled cardboard for a waste-free alternative to plastic bottles.

The hydrating Shampoo Bar with rosemary infusion and aloe vera juice is for normal and oily hair. Rosemary improves the circulation of blood in the scalp which leads to good scalp health. Its healing properties help to increase hair growth and to solve dandruff or other scalp conditions. Aloe Vera contains enzymes which repair dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner leaving your hair all smooth and shiny. We offer a great bar that lasts ages and leaves your hair soft, detangled and beautiful.

Generally no conditioner is needed after use for oily hair. If you have normal hair you might choose to use a conditioner after use.

The scent is a refreshing herbaceous, citrusy scent. Essential oils used: lavender, bergamot, lemongrass, rosemary, litsea cubeba, eucalyptus, cedarwood, patchouli

How to use

Method 1: Rub the wet shampoo bar between your wet hands to create a nice lather. Using your fingers like a comb, smooth the lather along your wet hair. Gently massage it into the scalp and hair to work up a good lather. Add more water or shampoo where needed to create lather.
Rinse your hair thoroughly and repeat if desired.
Store on a free-draining soap dish and let dry between uses.

Method 2: Gently rub the wet the shampoo bar directly onto your hair from scalp to ends in a combing motion. Cover each section of your hair. Gently massage scalp and hair, adding more water as needed, until a good lather forms. To prevent tangles, be sure to always work from the top down, don't pile your hair on your head and use your fingers like a comb, not a mixer.

With this method, it is very important that you really build up a good lather on your head so there are no patches of soap left on your hair.
Rinse your hair thoroughly and repeat if desired.
Store on a free-draining soap dish and let dry between uses.

How to store the bars to last a long time

For the shampoo bar and body wash bar to last a long time it is crucial that they are stored on a free-draining soap dish. Stored in a puddle of water, they will go very soft and disintegrate a lot faster. They can be stored on a soap rack in the shower away from the stream. Cheap and easy to install solutions are available at Mitre10 or Bunnings.
If you find the bar to be soft when you use it, dry it thoroughly after your wash before you use it again. This can be done outside in summer on a sunny day or next to a heater in winter.
If a number of people use the same bar try cutting it in half and circulate the bars to give them enough time to dry thoroughly in order to last a long time.

Even though the shampoo won’t spoil, we recommend using the bar within 12 months of purchase. The natural essential oils evaporate over time and some colours may fade.

Transitioning period

Transitioning from conventional liquid shampoos to natural shampoo bars is not always easy. It takes a bit of time to figure out the best washing technique for your hair and your scalp might be overproducing sebum due to the use of conventional shampoos and frequent washing. Conventional shampoos are designed to strip your hair from ALL its natural oils and the oil glands on your scalp react by producing way too much oil to counteract the drying effect of the shampoo used. It can take a few weeks to normalize the oil production and therefore you might find that you have greasy hair faster and need to wash you hair more often than usual. But if you persevere you are rewarded with healthy scalp and soft and silky hair.
